Networking success

Many people attend networking events on a regular basis.  Few do it really well and we share our top 5 tips with you to make sure you get better results and enjoy your networking more productively and profitably.

Going to a networking event necessitates an investment of time and money so we think it’s worth taking time to make sure you always get the most out of these events by following our 5 steps (explained more fully in the document):

  • Have a clear purpose in going there (ideally an outcome focused goal)
  • Know how to introduce yourself succinctly and clearly in a way that makes people want to find out more
  • Get permission to follow up so that you speak 1:1 in more detail without being in a busy room
  • Park – the gentle art of moving on to your next contact at the meeting
  • The vital step that is often missed or done poorly – following up
